Bruce Construction

About Us

Bruce Construction has completed dozens of projects over the past ten years, ranging from bathroom renovations to full-scale home additions. In an era when many general contractors have been closing their doors, Bruce Construction has emerged as a top-quality residential remodeling company.

Rick Bruce began buying and selling homes in San Francisco in the 1970s. For over 30 years, Rick has engaged in every aspect of construction, from kitchen and bathroom remodeling to the design and construction of new homes.

After 30 years of service, Rick retired in 2006 as a captain of police from the San Francisco Police Department. Rick holds a Bachelors Degree in Management from Saint Mary's College. His son, Tyson, began remodeling homes with his father at a young age. During his summers in college he worked for two different union carpentry outfits in San Francisco. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Economics, Tyson began working full-time for Bruce Construction.

Today both Rick and Tyson manage and oversee every part of the remodeling process, from foundation pours to the installation of finish materials. Both father and son take a hands-on approach to the general contracting process; as a result, the client receives a thoroughly exceptional product and experience.

Bruce Construction recently implemented BASECAMP, an online contractor-to-client project management software program that allows clients direct access to the company's schedules and tasks lists. It is of primary importance to Bruce Construction that the client is kept completely up to date on his or her own project. The client can see the calendar of events taking place, and can visually track job progress on charts that measure work productivity. Unlike with other remodeling companies, Bruce construction wholly integrates the client into the building process, making the job a much more desirable experience.
